The weekend that followed was life-changing for each of us. I tried my hardest to win her over with my Southern gentleman charm, as well as a few elegant meals, beach walks, and all the other trappings of a fairy tale romance. Picnic Guidelines, Tips, and Meal Planning

First and foremost, prepare ahead of time. The main goal of having a picnic is to enjoy the great outdoors, so choose a lovely location on a day when the weather is nice.

Prepare your belongings properly. The following items/recommendations will assist you in being appropriately prepared. To be fair, I’ve gone overboard with this list. Pack for your requirements, company, and surroundings. Making a checklist of everything you want to bring and then crossing off each item as you place it into your basket is an excellent idea since forgetting anything may really throw a wrench in your plans.

Note: Do not store bread goods (such as the French baguette I recommend below) in a completely sealed plastic container or wrap. To protect the bread from getting soggy, use parchment paper, butchers paper, or other similar materials.

–Plates, forks, knives, napkins, glasses and/or glassware, and a cutting board are all necessary items. Rather of utilizing plastic or paper, I want to use the actual thing. It elevates the picnic experience while also preserving the environment.

If you’re presenting a salad, don’t season the greens until you’re ready to eat. This will keep the items from becoming wet.

Selecting a wine Picnics are often accompanied with rosé wines. These wines, when slightly chilled, might serve as a delightful transition between red and white wines. I like the ones that aren’t as sweet. On the other hand, a crisp, chilled Sauvignon Blanc or Chardonnay, or a lighter Pinot Noir for those who like reds, may be refreshing on a hot day.

Beverages such as bottled water, fruit juices, artisan sodas, and beer are also wonderful options. Just remember that they are usually the heavier goods, so plan accordingly.
