Here is a family survival guide for you – My Family Survival Guide. This is what we have prepared and the steps that we have taken to prepare ourselves and our loved ones for any eventuality. We are all members of the human race and all of us need to get healthy and safe. So please make a note of this and read it. This is something very important and needs your attention right now.
The economy is awful. It has brought down the value of our currency, which makes everything else so cheap and of poor quality. It is important to have money when emergencies arise – that is a given. However, it is also important to have things that everyone in your family has.
My family had a two story home built in the 1960’s that we still live in today. The roof is two stories and the interior walls are concrete. It was a home that my mother raised us and we have always made it a point to keep it that way. So it has been a real blessing for all of us to be able to use this home as our base of operation for survival plan and emergency kit.
Now that it is late fall and we are experiencing some of the most unpredictable weather on Earth, we have found that our survival plan needs to be more flexible. There is nothing worse than living through one storm or two, but then having to deal with two or three more during the same period of time. Our insurance company has been very understanding and has covered most of our costs for two months. So we have had some ‘wins’ over the course of two years, but many will say that it is not enough. I disagree and feel that this is the only way that we are going to survive these tough times.
As far as our emergency kit goes, it is basically survival food – a six-pack of beer, a can of soup, some batteries for a fire extinguisher, a first aid kit, and a box of noodles. My wife and I set this up so that we can cook whatever we want – whenever we want – in the house and there is nothing wrong with that. If you live alone in an apartment and do not have a pantry and refrigerator and fridge for your food, you need to seriously consider having one. That way, you do not have to go hunting for a box of ramen noodles when you can have your meals already reheated. It is a win-win situation.
With that said, we have made provisions in our survival plan for people to call in if they have a cell phone and a battery. In addition, our family has a ‘home base’ that they call – where they check in with a signal whenever they want. It is very important that they know that we are concerned and are following a plan. The reason is that there are times when we get very frustrated because life gets to be too easy. When this happens, we all tend to panic and become irrational – like when a tornado is about to hit our home. Thus, we must prepare ourselves for a possible disaster.
Lastly, one of the reasons why people do not have a family survival plan is because they think it is expensive. While it is true that it will cost you quite a bit of money to get a pre-plan, the return on investment will more than make up for it. What is more, when you plan well and execute it well, you can save money without compromising your quality of life. What’s more, you will also be able to live a more secure life – long term.
In short, the best way to have a family survival plan is to get a pre-plan and execute it. This way, you will ensure that your family will have the best possible survival conditions. Furthermore, you will be able to build up your own personal sense of security as well as create and strengthen the bonds between you and your family.
