This treasured dish, bright crimson and boiling with savory, delicate pieces of seafood, can set you back a hefty penny (even if you make it yourself!). Don’t spoil the pleasure by crushing this exquisite crustacean with your over-eager man hands on that particular occasion when you decide to pamper yourself. Prepare the lobster by dissecting it and eating it like an expert.
- Remove the claws and separate them from the body. Break off the bottom half of the claw and separate it from the knuckle. Break the claw and knuckle open with a lobster/nutcracker. Using your fingers and a tiny fork, remove the flesh.
- Bend the tail up and away from the body to break it off.
- Remove the tail’s flippers and throw them away. Push the tail meat out from the flipper side using a fork.
- Separate the body and legs from the rear shell.
- Pick out the chunks of flesh within the body part by opening it up like a book.
- Pull the legs off and use the flesh as a straw to suck the meat through the legs.
