Fresh lobster is one of the most delicious things you can eat. This treasured dish, bright crimson and boiling with savory, delicate pieces of seafood, can set you back a hefty penny (even if you make it yourself!). Don’t spoil the pleasure by crushing this exquisite crustacean with your over-eager man hands on that particular occasion when you decide to pamper yourself. Prepare the lobster by dissecting it and eating it like an expert.

  1. Remove the claws and separate them from the body. Break off the bottom half of the claw and separate it from the knuckle. Break the claw and knuckle open with a lobster/nutcracker. Using your fingers and a tiny fork, remove the flesh.
  2. Bend the tail up and away from the body to break it off.
  3. Remove the tail’s flippers and throw them away. Push the tail meat out from the flipper side using a fork.
  4. Separate the body and legs from the rear shell.
  5. Pick out the chunks of flesh within the body part by opening it up like a book.
  6. Pull the legs off and use the flesh as a straw to suck the meat through the legs.
