No matter who you voted for, this election has made one thing very clear. It showed beyond doubt that our country is divided along political, moral and philosophical lines. These differences are not insignificant either, and the reaction to the differences we have with those who disagree with us is increasingly intense and violent. Add to that the societal changes we have been promised, and some of you may have begun serious preparations for Judgment Day.
What is this end of the world I’m talking about, you ask? Do I really think the world will end because someone was elected by another party? What are you afraid of? A 78-year-old man who looks like a good grandfather? Am I just a little bit afraid that you’re gonna say that?
Maybe. Or maybe not.
Elections have consequences
The goal of socialism is communism. – Lenin
We all know the analogy of the frog in the pot. If you put a frog in a pot of boiling water, it will come right out. But if you put the frog in hot water and slowly increase the heat, it will not feel threatened and will slowly die.
I think most of the changes in our country happen like a frog in the warm water above. We’re frogs. Usually these are not radical changes, but rather gradual changes, but Covid is a big exception. Usually, after we have calmed down and made a change, they increase the volume some more. They take away a freedom from us and call it common sense, and in the end we accept it. Then the next one comes, and we get angry and we calm down, and the next minute we’ve completely changed our behavior and our attitude from what we thought was untouchable.
This country is moving more and more towards less freedom and more socialism – to the point of going crazy. It is visible everywhere, from local ordinances to national politics. From the education system to the attack on religion. The vice president-elect even seems to defend socialist arguments in the videos she narrates. Even our language has been hacked and the words adapted to fit. When you are no longer a person because of science, but because of your preferences. If someone can say the word is racist because they think it is, then they are racist. If senators can declare a word offensive and Miriam Webster changes the dictionary! The term Orwellian is no longer an exaggeration.
The flip side of this race to suppress rights and change culture is a version of anarchy where mobs can take government jobs, commit murder, and demand the abolition of law and order. When people openly demand that politicians be sent to the guillotine, the nuances of the revolution are hard to miss. Revolutions usually don’t end well for many people.
How to begin preparing for Judgment Day
I have said in the past that there is no apathy towards the political process. When you have a system that promises free things to most people, you will never win the opposition’s argument. We may never find a political solution, but you can be prepared for the consequences that may come your way.
Doomsday shouldn’t look like your favorite survival movies where we have a world burned by nuclear war and everyone is running around with gas masks, killing to survive. For you, Judgment Day might look like losing your job. Judgement Day can be isolated indoors most of the year because of the virus. Judgment Day may look like riots and looting in your neighborhood. Judgment Day may be like people occupying your city and applying their own rules in the absence of the law.
Of course, the end of the world could be even more catastrophic, but your preparedness plan is the starting point for any doomsday scenario you imagine. No matter how the chaos turns out, if you are not prepared for it, Judgment Day will be much more severe in the way it affects you. If you can’t feed and protect your family, it doesn’t matter if it’s a criminal gang or an EMP. The point of all this is that if you are not ready for the chaos and disruption in your life right now, steps need to be taken.
Preparing for Judgment Day doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive. Start slowly with the basics and build from there.
Development of a training plan
Fortunately, the basics are the simplest when it comes to developing a preparedness plan for your family’s safety. We have a series of 5 articles describing the basics of preparation, as well as over 1,700 articles on this site for those who want to be better prepared. But if you’re just starting out, keep it simple. You don’t have to build the perfect protective cover just yet, but start closer to home. The following points are worth whole notes, so consider them preparation for the apocalypse for dummies.
30 Daily food storage plan
A good rule of thumb is to start small when you begin storing food for emergencies. You don’t need a year of frozen food to get started. Try eating extra foods that your family has been eating for a few weeks. This can be done without the need for exotic apocalyptic preparation storage or 5-gallon buckets of grain; you just need to know how to grind and cook after power outages.
Short term food storage – The best and easiest foods, as mentioned above, are the foods your family eats every day. Remember that most of these foods should not be perishable, just in case you lose energy. The preserves go well with pastas, drinks and staple foods. They usually last at least a year.
Medium-term food storage – For the period of 5 to 10 years, MREs are an excellent option, although they are heavier and more expensive in terms of convenience. I have several of these boxes, and I like MREs because they are self-sustaining and don’t require water. Frozen camping gear like Mountain Home is another good option, just add hot water. Rice and beans are good additions to this category because you don’t have to go out of your way to store them as long as they stay fresh and dry.

Water survival plan
Water is one of the easiest things to cross off your list because it is so important and given to us as a gift every day. To calculate the amount of water you will need, simply multiply the number of people you are cooking for by the number of days you want to store. My family consists of those who live with me (4), plus the extended family members I plan to visit (possibly 4 more), plus a few friends (add 4), so I see a potential need for a water supply for 12 people. 12 people for a month is 12 X 30 = 360 gallons of water.
I have many different ways to store water. The first is stored in heavy plastic containers, each containing 7 litres. They are great because they are portable, stackable, and I can use them in smaller spaces for example. B. in the pantry, find storage space. Plus, I can easily move some of them in my Bug Out vehicle if needed. This safe only lasts a week.
But no matter how much water you store, it can always run out in the worst of emergencies, so it’s important to have a backup plan to get good water later. I think in the long run it is more important to buy water than to store it.

It’s just a way to protect yourself from the elements. If you have a house and it’s not demolished, you have a shelter, but what happens if the power goes out in the summer or the heat goes out in the winter? Make sure you plan to stay warm and cool. Sleeping bags are great for the winter, but there are fewer options in the summer. Unless you want to build your own swamp cooler.
What is your plan for self-defense if the worst happens?
Disasters bring out the worst in people, but you don’t need a disaster to bring violence to your city. Consider Portland and Seattle as recent examples of violence and crime that have impacted neighborhoods. Riots happen all the time during sporting events. Imagine there is no electricity, the grocery store shelves are empty and people are hungry.
Make sure you have a way to protect your family from people who want what you have or who just want to burn and destroy things. At this level, you don’t need to learn body armor or tactical weapon belts. In this regard, I recommend the legalization of firearms for responsible adults, but that alone is not a solution. You need to know how to use these weapons knowingly and safely.
Firearms per se are not the only option that should be considered when preparing for the end of the world, but they do deserve to be examined closely. You can pave your home, you can take self-defense classes. They can develop a non-lethal defense. Just make a plan and start implementing it.

Financial security plan
Financial security is harder, but I know we can all take steps to reach this goal. The worst culprit is debt, so eliminating debt you can control (credit cards) should be a priority. Do you have to pay back your house? Maybe, but at least it’s valuable. The sandwich you paid for with your credit card two years ago is missing.
You can set aside cash in case the banks declare a holiday or severely restrict withdrawals. This also works during power outages, when the circuit breakers just don’t work.
You can also take a second job or a part-time job. There are millions of ways to start your own business and make extra money, which you can use to pay off debts, buy essential training materials or simply increase your income. If you are like me and already have a day job, be grateful. A second or third part-time job is not without its costs and hassles, but it can pay off big time and give you a break if you lose a job due to an economic downturn.
Considerations on the preparation of the day of judgment
Technically, the election isn’t even over yet. Just because the media says someone is going to do it doesn’t mean anything.
This article was not meant to scare anyone, and I don’t think that is the purpose of the training. If it motivates you to take steps to prepare for the unexpected, that’s fine. In my experience, drafters are not afraid, at least not hiding under the covers is a fear. The ferrets I know are scared, maybe you call it fear, but they use this visualization to strengthen their resolve. The preppers don’t complain, they’re fine. The preparers are not afraid, they have courage and determination.
Who knows what the future holds for our country? Like many of you, I will be watching the horizon and quietly preparing for likely scenarios that will hopefully never come to pass. What are you going to do?
