If you are like me, you have spent many Thanksgiving Day trying to figure out how to survive. How do you survive? What do you eat? Here is my list of Danksgiving survival tips to guide you through your troubles.
First, forget about shopping. The shopping has already been done. You may find a few survival items at the store but these are usually expired and the prices are so high that you will probably just complain and leave. Also, all the stores are closed on Thanksgiving.
Secondly, get a hold of your family and have a meeting about what needs to be done. This may be a hard time for everyone, especially if you are a bit scattered about in the chaos. Make sure you get everyone together and plan a route for getting where you need to go. This will also allow you to get a head start on getting your supplies together. Also, make sure you get a route that includes your closest neighbors and some of your extended family members.
Third, you need to start eating your survival food. You can either make your own or you can buy some ready made ones. However, I recommend you buy some survival food so that you can have something to comfort you during your stay. This is especially important during a storm when you may be hungry and thirsty. Be sure to store your canned goods and food in a well-sealed container so that they do not spoil.
Fourth, I recommend that you stay as warm as possible. Be sure to use heavy blankets to stay warm. Also, remember that you need to pack some dry clothing such as pants, shirts and a couple shirts to wear over your pajamas. In addition, you should make sure that you have some warm wool socks to wear under your winter boots. I am not saying that you can’t survive without them but you will definitely need them.
Fifth, make sure you have some water to keep yourself and your family hydrated. I suggest that you have a large water container that is big enough for at least four people. On top of that, I recommend that you put some kind of ice into the water to make sure that it stays cold. Be sure to keep this container near a heater or in a place where it will not get knocked over.
Sixth, get some kind of fire starting materials like fire wood. You should be able to get these at a hardware store or lumberyard. It is better if you can get some of your supplies from the Internet instead. Just make sure that you use waterproof matches.
Danksgiving survival tips are simple and easy to follow. If you follow them, you are sure to be a happy camper. There are no hard rules when it comes to camping. As long as you are safe and have proper supplies, you are set to have a great time. You just have to remember to be prepared.
If you are really into the sport, then you should make sure that you have everything that you need before you go. This means that you should buy all the food and equipment that you need. This way, you do not have to waste time and money buying stuffs that you might not even use.
Another important Dankgiving tip that you need to follow is making your family a survival squad. This means that you should get each person into the same boat. This will make sure that you have at least one person who has a gun, depending on where you are going. If there are other members in the boat, then you should split up and assign different roles to different members. For example, you should assign a lookout, a cook, someone to hold the boat doors, someone to bring water, and someone else to tend to the other needs of the team.
Another Dankgiving survival tips that you should pay close attention to is to have a disaster kit. This will come in handy if you get trapped or lost. If you can get all the food that you need into the kit, then you will not have to scavenge for food. Remember that this is not necessarily a full-scale survival kit, but it should contain all the basics that you would need to survive for 3 days without eating anything.
Dankgiving survival tips do not only apply to those who are members of the military. If you are going camping, remember to pack your own cooking equipment. You do not want to depend on the campground’s grills or any other emergency food supply. Also, make sure that you have some kind of first aid kit in case of emergencies. Having this will make sure that you are able to care for yourself and for the members of your family in case of an emergency.
