Have you read the book “50 Survival Tips for Your Family” by Harvey Roberts? If you have not you must. It is an absolutely fantastic guide to emergency preparedness and has saved my family many times in uncertain situations. Harvey has taught me how to deal with emergency situations both disaster and emergency preparedness.

He has taught me that I am never alone in a crisis situation and that being prepared means being safe. He has convinced me that I don’t have to live in constant fear of any disaster striking my home or my family. I have learned that if I prepare myself and my family for any type of emergency it will help me be able to relax when things go wrong. I do not have to wonder what to do or where I should go in case of an emergency. Being prepared means I can focus on other things other than what is happening around me.

I have traveled many times in my life and I know that preparation is essential to travel safely. The same is true for survival as well. I know that if I am ever in a life threatening situation I need to know what I am doing and where I am going. I know that being prepared will keep me from getting worried and running around in panic. I will be able to breathe a sigh of relief knowing I am fully prepared for whatever may come my way.

One of the most important things that we learn in CPR classes is breathing. You do not have to be a pretty good performer in order to know how to do this right. You do however have to be able to perform CPR until more effective methods are taught to you. I have learned these skills in a very short time by listening to Harvey Roberts audio books. I have saved a number of lives because I was able to perform CPR quickly and efficiently in an emergency situation.

Another one of the 50 survival tips that I have learned is that I should always carry a first aid kit with me. We never know when an emergency situation might happen and we need to be prepared for it. We never know when we might lose our lives and when something unexpected comes up we must be ready to take care of ourselves. A first aid kit should contain items for treatment of injuries, wounds, and cuts as well as disinfectant, bandages, medicines and sterile clothing.

Knowledge is power and this is one of the most important survival tips that I have been able to learn from Harvey Roberts. He is someone who has literally lived his whole life in the mountains and he knows what it takes to survive in such an extreme environment. He has spent a lot of time studying how to survive in such an environment and he knows exactly what needs to be done in order to stay safe. He is my role model and I look up to him a lot.

Another of the 50 survival tips that I have learned is that it is very important to eat healthy food. When we are living in an environment where we have to survive, it is very important that we are eating right. There are times that we know we have to eat certain things that will sustain us for a short period of time but we have no choice but to do it. It is essential that we take care of ourselves and ensure that we are taking all the proper nourishment we need. If we don’t then we run the risk of getting sick and even dying during those times when we most need it.

All in all, if you want to live a long and healthy life then you should definitely read up on some of the 50 survival tips that Harvey has taught me. I was able to use some of them on my own life but I am sure that many of them will come in very useful to you. You can never be too prepared for any disaster or emergency and with a survival kit and the proper survival skills you should be able to face any challenge that may come your way in life.
