Les Stroud has created a guide that is jam packed with 30 Survival Tips for your survival in the wilderness. It includes a lot of things like weather changes and how to deal with them, the types of food you should eat and when, safe water locations and how to find them, and also just in general, what you should do when you are in a survival situation. These Survival Tips will keep you out of trouble as well as make you look like an expert.

When it comes to eating, freeze dry or pick up some freeze dried foods from the store. You should pack plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables as well. You can boil water over half of the food if you want to have something easy to sip on and make it last, but the water should not be boiling hot. Keep in mind that when you are in the wild, anything can happen, so it is always better to be safe than sorry.

In terms of shelter, you need to have a big spot to sleep in that does not get damaged by flash floods and other natural disasters. If you are going to stay outside for any long period of time, you may need to bring along food and water with you. For these, you should consider using empty water bottles or water bags. Staying dry is very important because you never know what might happen.

When you are walking in waters, make sure you wear a life vest. This may seem like common sense, but if you don’t then you can end up sinking and die. Try to use the heavier boots, rather than sneakers, so that you will not sink as easily.

If you are worried about being dehydrated, there is no need to worry. Staying hydrated is extremely important, especially while hiking. Your body loses a lot of fluids through perspiration, so drink as much water as you can because it is your only way to replace what you have lost. There is nothing worse than being in the middle of no where and losing all of your water supply. While you may look cool and feel miserable, at least you’ll be alive!

Another thing you need to consider is food. Not having food can cause serious problems. It is possible to survive on just food and water, but there is no reason why you should not be able to carry supplies with you as well. Carry enough food for at least two days, as this should be more than enough to get you through a few days.

One thing to keep in mind is that while you are hiking, you should always take water with you. If you are tired, you may want to sit down and rest a bit. Doing so will keep your body from dehydrating, which will be very bad news. The most ideal time to do this is in the morning or evening, as the sun will help to keep the water cool. Of course, this depends upon where you are, but make sure to keep an eye on the weather.

Thirty survival tips do not have to be difficult to follow. As long as you know what to do, you shouldn’t go wrong. The most important thing to remember is that you need to stay calm and don’t panic, even if things seem hopeless. Once you do manage to get back home, at least you will have learned a valuable lesson.

Make sure to pack plenty of food and drinks. You may only need a single day’s supply of food and water. If you have some left over, that’s great. You should also plan on carrying some kind of fire starter. This way, if you run out of food or water, you can at least make a campfire. Try to pack food that is easy to cook, such as dehydrated raw meat, rice, or potato slices.

Thirty survival tips may not seem like much. However, when you are faced with a severe emergency, these tips will come in quite handy. As hard as it may be to trust in Mother Nature, she is actually one of the best resources you will ever have. If you ever need help, she may be exactly what you need to get you through your ordeal.

Keep in mind that you should never be without a cell phone. Even if you are walking for days, there will come a time when you need to call for help. Plus, if you ever lose your way, having a cell phone can help you find directions. In the end, you should always carry some sort of survival tips with you.
